Editing approved content

Approved fields give clients practical editing control without exposing the coded structure.

What approved content means

Approved content is the set of words, labels, business details, and images that the developer has prepared for client editing.

A field becomes editable only when it is safe for the client to change without breaking the layout, brand system, or website behavior.

Common editable fields

  • Headlines and subheadlines.
  • Paragraph copy.
  • Call-to-action labels.
  • Business details.
  • Service descriptions.
  • Testimonials or short bios.
  • Approved image alt text.
  • Approved image slots.

Why approval matters

Approved fields prevent a simple update from becoming an accidental redesign. Clients get useful control, while the developer protects the layout and coded structure.

When a client needs a new section, custom feature, layout change, animation, integration, or redesign, that remains developer service work instead of a self-editing action.
