Image replacement in Devport
Clients can replace images in slots the developer has approved for editing. These are usually hero images, content images, card images, or other media that the site design can safely accept.
Image changes can be saved and previewed before publishing, just like text changes.
What happens to a new image
- The client selects an image for an approved slot.
- Devport checks that the file is valid for the website.
- The image is staged privately for draft preview.
- The client previews the draft.
- When published, the image becomes part of the managed website asset path.
- Temporary draft image data is cleaned up when no longer needed.
What this protects
- The image slot stays tied to the intended part of the design.
- Invalid files are rejected before they become public website assets.
- Preview images stay scoped to the right workspace.
- Published images follow the managed website repository path.
