Workflow

Save, preview, publish

Save without going live, preview safely, then publish approved updates through the managed deployment path.

The basic workflow

  1. 1Edit approved content.
  2. 2Save a draft.
  3. 3Preview the saved draft.
  4. 4Publish the approved update.
  5. 5Watch deployment status.
  6. 6Confirm the live website is updated.

Save draft

Saving a draft stores the change in Devport without changing the public website. This lets a client come back later, refresh the browser, or review with a team before publishing.

Preview

Preview shows the saved draft before it goes live. This is the review step for checking wording, image choices, and page context.

Publish

Publishing sends the approved change through the managed website update path. Devport separates publishing from deployment status so the client can see whether the live site has caught up.

If a workspace requires paid Devport Access, the payment step appears when publishing, not before drafting or previewing. Saved drafts remain available if Checkout is cancelled or still being processed.
